There is so much to know if you want to raise happy children who will grow up to be competent, confident, and self-reliant adults. So where to start? Parents want what is best for their children and parenting can be overwhelming, so we simplify it. The content for this class is easy to understand so every parent can put the information they have learned into practice. The course helps parents learn about themselves and their children. They gain knowledge of what they can expect from their children at different developmental stages.

Age-Specific Parenting Skills for Parents of Infants and Toddlers

Infants and toddlers sometimes behave in ways that can be confusing and even upsetting for parents. This course will discuss why infants and toddlers behave the way they do. Luckily, there are general procedures on how parents can respond to their child and help them learn appropriate behavior. We will also discuss how parents can work together with childcare providers to support development in infants and toddlers.

Age-Specific Parenting Skills for Parents of Pre-School Children Age 3 - 5

While children grow, they acquire specific skills within predictable age ranges. These skills are often referred to as developmental milestones. This parenting course will present information on the five areas of development and the important milestones for children aged three to five. Although children develop according to their own pace, there are some general milestones for each age and this course offers examples of developmental milestones.

Age-Specific Parenting Skills for Parents of Young Children Age 6 – 9

Six to nine are the 'middle years'. Even though children are each unique with their own individual personalities, there are some general characteristics to this age range. For example, six can be a bit bossy, seven tends to worry, eight is outgoing, nine might be independent. As children age, parents might see how these stages are reflected in their own child’s personality. This class will provide information on how children develop during middle childhood. Every child needs guidance, and with this course, parents will learn how to raise children in this particular age range.

Boundaries with Children and Adults

Want to raise children who are take responsibility for their lives? In this class, parents can learn how to set loving limits, knowing when to say ‘yes’ and when to say ‘no’. We will cover information on why it is important to set boundaries with children and how to set healthy boundaries.

Child Abuse and Neglect

12-Hour Course

Enroll in this course to learn about a very common type of child abuse. Child neglect is failure to provide for a child’s basic needs, whether it’s inadequate food, clothing, hygiene, or supervision. Our program on child abuse and neglect will include definitions, identification of signs and symptoms, statistics and data, risk and protective factors, grooming practices of perpetrators, the impact on individuals and society, and more.

Child Endangerment Course

Sometimes a quick decision can put parents and their children at great risk. These decisions are often thinking errors and parents just need some guidance to avoid them. Common examples of child endangerment include: leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle, drug arrest in the presence of a child, positive drug test, driving while intoxicated with child in the motor vehicle, speeding more than 20 MPH over the posted speed limit, hiring a person with a known history of sexual offenses as a childcare provider, drug manufacturing in the presence of a child, leaving a young child unsupervised in an unsafe area or any time a child was placed in a potentially harmful situation - either through negligence or misconduct.

Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Class for Parents

COVID-19 and stay at home orders have presented an increased risk of both online and intrafamilial child sexual abuse. This 2-hour class gives parents and child care providers an awareness of the basic characteristics of sexual predators and abusers, as well as the grooming process utilized by pedophiles and molesters, so they are better equipped to recognize and prevent abuse.

Decision Making Skills

4-Hour Course


Decision-making skills are key to making better choices and the foundation of a good life. Decisions can be difficult and life is not always simple. This is why we provide an environment to practice these skills through real world examples. Knowing the common pitfalls of human thinking can help participants avoid the hard consequences of poor choices. Topics Covered: Seemingly Unimportant Decisions, Decision Making, Values and Decisions, and Your Choices, Your Happiness.

Discipline Education Course

This 2-hour research based and research informed discipline education class was developed by Dr. Elizabeth LaMont, LCSW, PH.D. With her knowledge, we provide a step-by-step approach to properly disciplining children. We do this by giving parents a deeper understanding of their child and teaching them how to build a child’s sense of self-worth. Topics Covered: How to Discipline Your Child, Effective Discipline, Praise and Consequences, Age-Appropriate Discipline, and Understanding Human Nature.

Domestic Violence Information

2 -Hour Course

Learn to spot the signs of an abusive relationship. Gaining skills to stop the cycle of violence in relationships is critical to preventing domestic violence. With this class, you will be able to determine if you are in an abusive relationship and where to get help. It is time to end domestic violence and our class aims to achieve that goal in a non-judgmental experience.

Drug and Alcohol Awareness Guide for Parents

4-Hour Course


There are over two thousand slang terms for marijuana alone. With an ever-changing vocabulary, it is difficult for parents to keep up with one drug, let alone all of them. This 2-hour awareness guide is designed to help. It provides parents with a sensible, responsible approach to recognizing signs of drug or alcohol abuse in their children. This guide educates parents on more than just the slang drug-terms of today, it also describes the most commonly abused drugs by teens and young adults and the symptoms of using those drugs. Regardless of the drug, it is important for parents to take action right now. When there is drug or alcohol abuse, it is helpful to have guidance on how to step in as a parent.

Financial Management

4-Hour Course


When finances get out of control, it is easy for other areas of life to destabilize too. Budgeting and managing money are not always simple and can be thrown off course when the car breaks down or the A/C needs to be replaced. It helps to be prepared for both expected bills and unexpected events. This is especially true as a parent. Parents have extra obligations for expenses such school uniforms and possibly plans for future college funds. This 4-hour course acts as a guide providing easy and practical steps to prioritize financial obligations. Topics Covered: Budgeting, Debt, Wants vs. Needs, Predatory Loans, and Money Means Freedom.

High Conflict Divorce Course

6-Hour Course

This 6-Hour High Conflict Divorce Course is designed to provide strategies for negotiating in a high conflict divorce and/or child custody situation. The class offers parents tools to effectively deal with high conflict situations, a former spouse, resolving conflict, poor communication, and other difficulties.

Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course - Two Parents, Two Homes Available in Spanish

This class is for the parents of minor children who are going through a divorce, separation, or break up. Included are some basic parenting skills with sections covering child custody, mediation, communication, and more. Separation and divorce are not always ideal, but sometimes necessary. With this divorce course, you can have the right tools at your disposal to navigate a difficult divorce, separation, or custody evaluation. This parenting class is also known as a divorce course, shared parenting course, parent education and family stabilization course, and a parallel parenting course.

Parenting Classes by the Week are set up as weekly online sessions where participants must log in once a week during a selected number of weeks. During their sessions, a variety of subjects will be covered. Weekly sessions include a focus on topics such as: effective discipline, learning through play, internet safety, family conflict, stress management, developmental stages of children, sleep, nutrition, and more.

Substance Abuse and Parenting Course

This course details the dramatic and negative effects substance abuse can have on a parent's behavior, judgment, and impulse control. The course looks at both the short- and long-term effects of substance abuse, as well as the complications caused by substance abuse during pregnancy. The course contains a self-scoring assessment to help parents recognize the warning signs in themselves and explains where to turn for help and treatment.
